Our Process
A Clear Process for Your Financial Future
Your financial life has a lot of moving parts. Investments, retirement, taxes, family, business interests, and long-term goals can all influence one another. Making confident decisions starts with understanding how those pieces fit together.
Our approach to financial planning and wealth management begins with the big picture. We take the time to understand where you are today, where you want to go, and what matters most to you. From there, we develop a coordinated strategy and put it into action, continuing to refine it as your life evolves.
Our process provides structure without becoming one size fits all–giving you a clear path forward and an ongoing relationship with a team that understands your financial life.
A Process Built Around You
1. Interview
Every relationship starts with a conversation.
We begin by getting to know you: understanding what brought you to Madison Financial and learning what you hope to accomplish. It is also an opportunity for you to learn more about our financial planning and wealth management services, including how we work and what you can expect from the relationship.
The goal is simple: determine whether Madison Financial is the right fit for you and your financial future.
2. Discovery
Before we determine where you should go, we need to understand where you are now.
We take a deeper look at your goals, priorities and concerns as well as your family situation, business interests, and overall financial picture. Depending on your needs, that may include conversations around topics such as retirement planning, investment planning, estate considerations, tax strategy, risk management, and other priorities.
Most importantly, we look beyond the numbers to understand what you want your wealth to accomplish.
3. Design
Once we understand the full picture, we begin connecting the pieces.
Using data modeling, we evaluate where you stand, identify opportunities and potential gaps, and develop a coordinated financial strategy around your goals. Rather than looking at individual decisions in isolation, our financial planning process considers how each part of your financial life can work together. Then, we confirm those models and assumptions with you before moving forward.
The result is a strategy designed around where you are today and where you want to go.
4. Delivery
A financial strategy is only useful if you understand it and feel confident moving forward with it.
We walk through our recommendations with you–explaining the strategy, answering your questions, and discussing your options. Together, we refine the strategy as needed, so you understand the decisions and how they support your larger goals.
Our role is not simply to provide financial planning advice; it is to help you make informed decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
5. Implementation*
Once we have agreed on the path forward, we turn the strategy into action.
Our team coordinates the different elements of your financial strategy alongside your attorney, CPA, and other trusted advisors.
This coordinated approach helps ensure that all of your financial strategies are supporting the same long-term objectives.
*Financial plan recommendations can be implemented with the advisor of your choosing. Implementation of specific products or services may result in commissions or fees outside of the financial planning fee.
6. Monitor & Review
Financial planning does not end when a strategy is implemented.
Your life changes. Markets change. Businesses change. Tax laws and financial priorities change. Our wealth management services include regularly reviewing your progress, revisiting your goals, and determining when adjustments are appropriate.
As new opportunities, challenges, and life changes arise, your strategy should evolve too.
The Plan Is Only the Beginning
Effective financial planning and wealth management is an ongoing process—not a one-time meeting or document. That is why our relationship does not end once the initial strategy is in place.
We remain alongside you to help monitor your progress, coordinate the different areas of your financial life, and provide perspective when important decisions arise.
Our goal is to help you spend less time wondering whether all the pieces are working together and more time moving confidently toward what matters most.
